Everyone now-a-days, if not qualified in specialized trade, wants to become a manager. If someone is ambitious, a natural instinct drives the ambitious employee to be promoted to a higher level in the company, which, most times, is a managerial position. It is more of a glamour of the position that attracts employees and which companies uses as a reward than money. One can reach their goal in many different ways. Some of them are fair while the others are vile. Human tendency to follow the shortcuts cannot be blamed, but a strong leader controls the temptation of shortcuts and builds up the career road through proper engineering. Shortcuts require very few qualities, qualifications, knowledge or expertise. While the shortcuts are more popular due to this, are often the cheap and unfair methodology where someone can easily sell themselves off. Example, going to bed with the boss to be promoted, does not require any technical or leadership expertise and only uses beauty and temptation which blind sides the manager. Manager, in turn, just another employee of the corporation, who follows the same shortcut, would rather have a trustworthy slave than have an intelligent employee who may 'challenge' his/her abilities in time.
Quite often we hear about the stories about how stupid is your manager who do not have 1/10 of your knowledge and still become a manager. Who you notice, always trying to make a good impression to his/her seniors by fake moves, through stealing your ideas and work claiming as own.
While going through different stages of my life, I have revealed astonishing facts. A lot of times businesses and institutions create their own problems through recruiting one bad apple and promoting that person to a senior level hence creating an environment of distrust and disrespect. While everyone has the right to survive and grow, the primary question is how to do it without harming others.
This book is a tiny effort of mine to shed some lights on the underground activities of corporate culture, which is mostly true for the companies and institutions with poor work culture. Some of these companies continue to be profitable due to monopoly in the sectors while the others die in course of time.
